Permission to widen existing agricultural access

This application was made on behalf of our client to widen an existing agricultural access near Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

The agricultural access was long established, however the existing width of 3.5 metres became too narrow to accommodate more modern agricultural vehicles.

Our team were able to to determine whether there are any existing safety issues within the vicinity of the site. We reviewed the Crashmap database which confirmed that no personal injury collisions have occurred within the proximity of the site during the last five year period .

Furthermore, there were no existing safety issues on the local highway network that would be exacerbated by formalising the existing access.

We were able to show that the widening of the access met the demands for Highway Safety of the Cotswold District Adopted Local Plan 2011-31.
