Successful Outcome for a Largely Unauthorised Rural Traveller Site

The RPP is pleased a recent Inspector’s decision following a planning inquiry for a largely unauthorised rural traveller site near Headcorn in Kent, where Judith Norris acted on behalf of the local community, has resulted in a very substantial reduction in pitch numbers with conditions limiting the number of static and touring caravans. Further planting and site management plans are also required.

The views of the local people were taken carefully into account by the Inspector and feature well in the 49 page appeal decision. The outcome is a success, but the site will need to be carefully monitored.
