We are very pleased to have successfully secured approval for amendments to an outline planning permission for five houses in Iden Green, Kent. The approval will allow three of the plots to be made larger, making them far more practical and functional homes whilst still respecting the character of the countryside and the nearby neighbours.

Obtaining outline planning permission is a good way of adding value to land but often subsequently schemes need to change as design processes evolve, especially when the land has been purchased for the development.

The planning system does allow changes to permissions to be made through various mechanisms depending on their specific nature and the impacts they might have, but the routes available can be complicated to navigate. We helped our client decide on the best way to achieve the changes they needed to maximise the potential for this scheme and now they have a far more workable development to take through the detailed design and build stages of their project.
