Case Study

Appeal Success for the Development of Two Houses

Residential

Date
21st April 2017
Local Planning Authority

The Rural Planning Practice successfully appealed a decision in relation to the development of two houses at Iden Green.

The Council initially believed that the development would not be appropriate in this sensitive area within the AONB. The RPP were able to argue that the site was directly next to the limits of built development, not within the Iden Green Conservation Area and the site is discrete and well screened.

We also addressed the neighbour’s concerns in regards to the encroachment on their amenity, the unviability of continued agricultural or equestrian use and that the proposed dwellings would add to the Council’s supply of windfall sites.
