Planning Permission Granted for 204 Loose Boxes

Equestrian

Date

Local Planning Authority
Mid Sussex District Council

Yesterday Mid Sussex District Council’s planning committee members unanimously agreed to grant planning permission for 204 loose boxes and a storage building to accommodate competitors’ horses at Hickstead. We advised on the siting of the buildings from a choice of locations, prepared and submitted, and managed the planning application on behalf of the Bunn family. The boxes will replace the temporary stabling and meet international requirements for biosecurity. Hickstead is an iconic venue in the equestrian world and the new permanent stables for horses competing at Hickstead will bring the facilities into line with other major international equestrian venues and will enhance its status as a Centre of Excellence for equestrian sport.
