Successful Retrospective Application for a Hen House

Local Planning Authority

Following an enforcement notice, we obtained retrospective permission for a timber chicken house with a hayloft for storage. This quirky and innovative building was modelled on the traditional weatherboarded farmhouse and mirrored the residential dwelling on site. The clients then made further amendments to the hen house including a covered outdoor run. This was granted, with the condition that it was to be used for no purposes except as a hen house – one of our major challenges!
